Locking the helm?? Reply to this Post

In the release notes, it says that an Officer can lock the helm so that other officers cannot sail his/her ship.

However, I have yet to figure out how this is accomplished.

Could someone please enlighten me?

Thanks!

Fom the nav table, it's an option on the radial menu.

Note that it also locks the hold.

Except for nav (but not battle nav), locking the helm makes it as if everyone but the deedholder is not an officer while interacting with the ship, including charting, setting sail, attacking, planking, hold, officer's bulletin board, etc.

This is a perfect solution to a problem my crew has. Half of my crew wants it to grow (myself included), and the other half are traders who are a might bit worried about their goods, which I respect.

This is absolutely perfect. Thank ye much dev's.

Aye, tis very nice!!

My crew has certain common ships that can be sailed by any officer, and then our personal ships. It's nice to know that I can lock my personal sloop!

Yay.....

On a sloop and cutter, the nav table is downstairs.

On a war brig you can access the nav table in the captain's quarters.

Sorry, not sure about the other types of ships.
