[...Please look down to the EDIT 2. Thanks! ] Disclaimer: If the title isn't really sing-able as I imagine it is, please remember I am not an English-speaking native. Rhythm, stress and syllable-counting are harder than you natives can imagine <.< The flag Jigsaw Tessellators, after our necessary and thanks goodness passed period of infancy and adolescence, are now taking shape and consolidating. Taking advantage of the Christmas holidays calm and rest, want to find the recipe for the perfect eggnog. It contains a bit of benefit for the flag, as it is necessary for a flag providing for future blockades; with a maximum of possible fun for us and the whole ocean; plus a good pinch of originality and Christmas spirit to season it and give it a unique taste. And of course, that secret ingredient: the aim to give a try at something that can benefit the ocean maybe, who knows, not only for a day, but with a lasting wondrous aftertaste! _______________________________________________________ 1. To start with, Jigsaw Tessellators is proud to give a try at an iniciative that is still in development, but that we would like to encourage feedback on, and as many people as possible to help in and join in the fun too! The idea is: on Thursday at around noon game time, a lil' bunch of new flotillas is expected to appear on our little ocean again. We would like to propose a challenge to the ocean, which however, since Thursday is Christmas, would be nice to agree on starting for example at midnight Friday at least. The challenge we propose is crushing off ALL the flotillas in a max of 24 hours, thus favouring a "flotilla-free weekend". The idea had been in my mind for a few weeks, and seeing how there are no flotillas to kill right now, and there will be no blockades to prepare this weekend, I thought it was something possible to organise, even in so little time (my real life has been so crazily busy lately; apologies). The first goal of this event, aside of pure fun, and going for a challenge, is seeing how us Sageans are able to go beyond the easy grumping and whining and can REALLY get to work together in an efficient, coordinated way against the flotillas. Also, it would probably help to know each other better and reinforce links for future coordinated flotilla attacks, or at least make misstrust and miss- communication less frequent. It has also been suggested that it could be a good chance to experiment some game design thingies. Besides, of course, our flag has their own goals. One of them is as simple as just getting out there and starting doing things, using the extra time of the Christmas holidays to do something exciting, fun and a great experience for our team. This is why we would like to offer our flag as a way of centralisation and coordination of the challenge. Besides, the flag will be keeping a small amount of the restock benefits, even if only to cover costs. More details as they come. Please if you, or your flag, are interested in joining the fun, PM me or contact me in game. We will provide ships and stock, plus anything else in terms of motivation we can within our possibilities, but all help would be highly appreciated. _________________________________________________________ 2. Let's go for the jolly season! Once the hard work is done on Friday, we'll have a well deserved rest! During the weekend our flag is having several little Christmas events and parties, as I am sure many of you are! For now (I am sure we will be inviting you all to many more), we would like to inform Sage about one special little thing that will be occurring on Sunday, from 11am onwards game time. We at Jigsaw Tessellators have felt the inspiration of the Muses during the Christmas holidays, and have come up with a nutty idea indeed! Next Sunday, most probably as a unique opportunity, you will have the chance to be in this very special auction that will immerse you in a world of Christmas spirit and artistic flavour! Always wished to hear Strunz sing the Jingle Bells Rock? Get a Christmas postcard drawing from Tilinka? Learn more about Hanukah? Hear Greatboss' famous Christmas story? This is your chance! Do not miss it! If you wish to help, or would like to bid in it, or would like an invite, please PM me or contact me in game <3 EDIT: I forgot! For this event, the person being auctioned chooses what they offer (you do however choose whether to bid or not!), however in the deal you ALWAYS get for free one or a couple Christmas carols of your choice sung by me=Sedna in vent (well provided I know them or you can teach them to me within a reasonable amount of time). ...EDIT 2: Due to the amount of things going on on Sunday around the time we had scheduled for the auction at first (Muffin's race, later the Atlantis event, flotilla fever <3, etc), we had to reschedule it. After some deliberation (hope that is the word in English? lol), we have settled for New Year's Day at 11 am game time, very punctually this time. There will be several announcements, some tourney, fbs etc to remind you all. Okay time for specific petitions, more information and work our booties off! * Tasks to do: - We still need a few more ships! If you can sell or know/hear of anyone selling sloops/WFs cheap, please let us know! - Tell your friends! For both events to be successful, we want everyone in Sage to come and enjoy them with us! Tell your friends about them from now! Come, and take them with you! Get ready for great great fun! - Anything can help! Aside from the big things, we can try to organise little bake-offs and trivias during the flotilla event to pass the time and make it more interesting. Anything can be used as prizes, and any donation, any little amount of poe, or any piece of clothing or furniture or anything you got from Atlantis, for example, and don't need or want, can be used! Contact a royal or the monarch (Boom, Mysteri, Whitepansies, Sedna). - We need YOU! How can you help? If you can get us cheap rum or cannonballs, NOW is the time! We buy them by the thousands! If you have some time to work at Boom's stalls to produce them, or know friends that can, that can help too! And of course we need YOU puzzling and having fun with us during the events! - Do you like singing, drawing, telling stories...? Thanks everyone for the help and the fun at the 24-hour flotilla-killing event! I hope everyone had such a good time as us. After a good very long sleep, a good meal and looking out to realise the real world was still there, I'll proceed now to log on and say thank you in-game and so on. We didn't kill all flotillas, it would have been hard, but we did make quite a bit of killing and learnt a bit and laughed a lot altogether.
