"Happy New Year!" [Postponed till futher notice

During the month of December these things will happen.
I will be holding several minor trinket tournaments in the 4 main puzzles (Swordfighting, Rumbling, Drinking, Treasure Drop). These will be at random times and will have randomly assigned settings.
Note: These will have no connection to the main event but are just for fun.

Main Event:

What: Familiar Drinking Tournament
Settings: BYO, 2000/5, Bo3.
Time: As soon as it clocks over to the new year (Pirate time "12:01am January 1st, 09")
Cash Prize: 200k

Prizes: "200k"
1st: Maroon Octopus + Trinkets
2nd: Ancient Rumjug + Trinkets
3rd: White Big Cat + Trinkets
4th: Pirate Flag + Trinkets

If I have missed anything, please post it and I'll fix it.

Poe donations would be appreciated to increase the "cash prize".

Re: "Happy New Year!" Familiar Drinking Tournament

This event seems to be missing how pirates get into the Main Event.
Also, who is posting these minor trinket tournaments?
How many trinket tournaments will there be?
Is the Main Event going to be an automated tournament in a private location?
What if 4 pirates don't show up for the main event?
The Cash Prize isn't listed in the Prizes list, where is that going?

Sorry for confusion, thought it was clear enough:

The main event is just a tournament posted up on a tournament board as soon as it hits new years - 12:01am Jan 1st.

I am posting these minor trinket tournaments.

As many as I see fit, probably around 10 more, maybe a few more.

I am making it for the whole of the Midnight ocean, very little OM help was required.

I highly doubt less than 4 people will show up to a familiar tournament, even if they didnt know about this event from the forums.

The "Cash Prize" is the money that will be distributed among participants in the "main event".

Hopefully these answers will help you out Steve :-)

Re: "Happy New Year!" Familiar Drinking Tournament

Still a bit confused. Is the "main event" just a tournament posted to the whole public (of midnight)?

Mebbe if you could explain which bits are confusing you, it would be easier to clarify?

I changed the bird to an Octi, so the winner does not need to rename. :-)

This event is only for Midnight, thus the reason why its in the Midnight Events forums. Yes, the main event is just a tournament for the Midnight public, but others from other oceans are welcome.

Re: "Happy New Year!" Familiar Drinking Tournament

Okay, I think I get it now. Sorry, the whole "small trinket tournaments" thingy made me think this was some kind of "qualify for the main event" type thing. I get it now.

Re: "Happy New Year!" Familiar Drinking Tournament

Due to recent events regarding my real-life situation, I am forced to cancel my event in the hopes of remaking it in the near future. I am going on holidays for a bit when the event is scheduled and it is unavoidable. I am sorry for this inconvenience and hope that all those who were able to make this event are able to make it when I am able to host this event.

If I am able to make it sometime in the future, it will most likely be around March. But till then..

My apoligises,
