Re: A Postcard from Malachite (WINNERS ANNOUNCED)

These were brilliant! And just like the doodles, I'm impressed with what you can come up with given so little time. I love that you spent time not just on the main image and the text, but also on the stamps, the postmarks, the backgrounds, etc. Good job, all! There were too many entries to give everyone a prize, much as I'd have liked to. After long consideration, I have decided that the overall winner is:

Crooks who wins magenta orchids and a sloop renamed the Malachite Malacho. (delivered)

And runner-up prizes (in posting order) go to:

Pipeline who wins either magenta lilies or a sloop renamed the Malachite Rainbow (delivered)
Shady who wins either a magenta rose or a sloop renamed the Malachite Icefish (delivered)
Jaede who wins either a magenta daisy or a sloop renamed the Malachite Bonefish (delivered)
Kargach who wins either a magenta lily or a sloop renamed the Malachite Trumpetfish (delivered)
Dengeki who wins either a magenta orchid or a sloop renamed the Malachite Cornetfish
Roseash who wins either magenta daisies or a sloop named the Malachite Lacerta (delivered)
Martini who wins either a magenta long-stem rose or a sloop renamed the Malachite Rock (delivered)

An honorable mention goes to:
Ediblebob who wins a lime daisy from Demeter - she thinks it might help with the scurvy. (delivered)

If you have a prize choice to make, please post your preference in this thread. If you choose the flower, and a favorite piratey word was provided with your entry, that word will be used in the inscription. If you choose the ship, you may need to trade it to an alt and back to update the crew. If you haven't posted within a week, I'll make the choice for you!

Congratulations everyone, and thanks again for some excellent postcards.

Re: A Postcard from Malachite (WINNERS ANNOUNCED)

The other day I was looking through the entries and besides wishing I had the time to enter, I was so, oh so glad I wasn't a judge in this competition! The post cards are all utterly fantastic!

Congratulations to all the winners and kudos to everyone who entered, because they are all just marvelous.

Re: A Postcard from Malachite (WINNERS ANNOUNCED)

I'll be different... may I please claim my magenta lilies? :D

Thanks so much for the contest -- something interesting to do one weekend. /me huggles Apollo!

(and I hope you do decide to go on with the Doodle d'août as you mused about in the Easter Easel Thread. Olympic themed doodles for the win! <3)

edit: is it possible to change my favourite piratey word to Gorgonyx? I was in a rush to get my entry in the day I submitted it, so I put in the first thing that came to mind. Thanks for your understanding if you can, if not, that's perfectly fine too! Thanks for running this contest, once again! <333
