Marble is metamorphosed limestone, composed of fairly pure calcite (a crystalline form of calcium carbonate, CaCO3). It is extensively used for sculpture, as a building material, and in many other applications. Also, a hard crystalline metamorphic rock that takes a high polish; used for sculpture and as building material

We already have the limestone in game so to help it metamorph(?) tellurium is used and the polish is from the lacquer. I think this is almost nearly the only product that is made fairly close to the real product in game.

I'd like to once again request that recipe hiding be turned off on Ice. Given the nature of the ocean there aren't likely to be many greenies who think that they have to craft items themselves. Letting everybody, including doublooners who are prevented from ever becoming officers, see the recipesi involved will allow for much more thorough testing of new features and products. It also gives everybody equal footing in preparing for changes on their home ocean.

A further note for the Ice-free...

When the ship is locked, only the owner can have officer rights, so it was inaccessible (this was checked).

when housing is implemented, most of the colonized islands will be planting shacks and furnisher bazaars very quickly. as governor, i want a name that is unique on Midnight, and we have a name that we like very much fer the shack. but is there any way to "put dibs" on the name, so that Midnight doesn't end up with several shacks named the same thing? (i'm going to assume other islands either won't think of our name, or won't like it as much as we do, but me flaggies are worried).

I can imagine not reading 21 pages, that would be like a day of reading, but could you at least try to glance over the last couple of posts please? If you had looked at the last 10-15 posts, you would have seen people talk about furniture that stores stuff. This thread is partially getting this long because people keep repeating the same questions/suggestions. Just a request of those getting tired of reading the same questions and suggestions on every page, please look at the last page at least.

About the storing of stuff, there are wardrobes for clothes, swordracks for swords, and barshelves for mugs. So start saving up poe to buy those, though they are not overly expensive.

I know it's been feared that furniture shops will take to many commodities, and they may become like shops used to be selling every thing dockside and that they may become the 32lbs gorilla of shops.

Maybe it's been mentioned but I didn't see it but....

How about having the existing shops make specific item the furniture shops need, like a apoth makes dye fer the weavery. ie: box of limes would take, 3 wood, 1pile of limes (buy from palace), Still would take: 1 wood, 3 iron, 1 whosamagig (buy from distillery), Tapestry would take: 1 iron, 4 wood(for the frame), 1 tapistry (buy from weavery).
essentially the furniutre shop would just be making the frame/stand or assembling the parts needed for each item

this could limit the number of Raw comodities the shop would need and allow all the other shops to get a peice of the action.

You can paint bazaars now, you just need someone on the island to be selling paint dockside. Check out the wiki for detailed painting info, and be sure to add your own if you learn something new.
