Merethif(1): Contest is now closed!

Reading these was so much fun! I giggled and giggled and giggled and groaned and giggled!

My final selection for the winner is Castawayjoe on Midnight with the book
"How to Write Piratical Poetry" by D. Rime and Demeter.

I have a splendid library of honorable mentions - this was as many as the librarian would allow me to select.
Pipeline of Viridian "An Anthology of Bruise Remedies", by Abel Rumbler
Nobleboytue of Malachite "When Zombie met Skellie (and me)" By Freya
Jsweetie of Midnight "How to Hatch a Familliar in 10 Days", by Gully Bullnube
Phillite of Sage "The Joy of Blackship Encounters", by Sue Nagawner
Hawkings of Viridian "Where on the Ocean is Vargas the Mad? - Exploration Guide to the Mad One's Hideouts", by E. Rhea Vanovanarky
Lia of Sage "Where to Find Islands" by Archie Pelago
Luckylad of Midnight "Pirate lives: Breaking the maritime laws of the world" by Aiden Anabettin
Dexla of Midnight "Aesop's Ables "- collected by I. Phail (my second favorite!)
Jaeyuri of Sage "Splash of Foreign Foosteps" by Er Pachos and Bella Tors
Jolyma of Midnight "The Scent of an Ocean" by I. M. Knowzlez
Kitt of Cobalt "Learning To Swim: A Pirate's Coming of Age Story" by Ben Plenk D'Lotte.
SaltyBear of Sage "It isn't easy Being Green - A beginners guide to all things pirate" by Howie DuBedar
Siah of Viridian "Hooked!" by Ima Hurtin
Yetidave of Midnight "The Future Of Piracy" by Rob U. Soon
Bloodyguts of Hunter "Perfect Pirate Alchemistry" by Dr. Fill
Ryanne of Midnight "How to make Gold from Nuttin' Atoll" - by Al Chemist
Kozma of Cobalt "Billions of Blue Blistering Barnacles!" - By Phil Ter
Brittni of Hunter "Carpentry: How to keep it together" by Kraken Thafleur
ScarletSkull of Sage "Tied to The Mast and Dangling From The Rigging A beginners guide to practical knot tying for sailors." By Clive Hitch
Daynarius of Midnight "Ur Teh Haxxor: The Old Pirate's Dictionary of New Chat" by Udonna May Kasense
Hippo of Sage I Survived Without Rums, So Can YOU! By Hare O'Dawg

Castaway Joe receives a maroon daisy and a Merethif egg, and all the honorable mentions receive a Merethif egg. Thank you for your genius book recommendations!

Day 3: Monday 6 April - Defleur

Contest opens now. Contest closes at midnight game time in about 24 hours.

Each of the Easter Easel doodles is inspired in some way by an in-game Easter Egg furniture item. Today's doodle is inspired by Defleur's egg:

Defleur will (no doubt) be delighted to hear that this egg made me think of tartan cloth. Pipeline will (no doubt) be booking me a new therapist to hear that the tartan cloth I was reminded of in particular was clothing for small dogs.

So today I would like you, please, to design an outfit for one of our in-game animals (could be a pet, a sleeping animal, a familiar or even a sea monster, I suppose!). The fabric for this stylish outfit should be based on the pattern on Defleur's egg. For this contest, you may draw the animal and outfit from scratch, or you can make use of in-game art if you wish. To be clear, you do not need to create the outfit in real life - the aim is to provide an image.

The winner of this contest will receive a flower trinket and a Defleur Egg. Honorable mentions will receive Defleur eggs.

This is the entry thread, so you can click "Reply to this post" to post your entry. Your entry should start with your pirate name and ocean, so that I know who to deliver prizes to. You should then include your image (using img tags) if it is 600 x 600 pixels or smaller, or a link to your image hosted elsewhere (if it is larger than 600 x 600 pixels). Remember to read the general Easter Easel rules before posting. If you are not familiar with posting images to this forum, you may find it useful to read this page on how to post an image.

Thank you, and enjoy!

Adrielle of Viridian's Cattie Fashion

This is my Cattie. She wears a silky tartan shirt, with a beautiful eggy-purrr-ple cat-ptain's jacket. For the bottom half of her modern, and very fashionable outfit, Cattie wears a pair of specially designed cattie patched pants (with stylish tartan patches, of course), and a matching tartan tiara, with matching coloured opals (exotic and rare tartanny ones from far far away).
