I've been attacked by red cutters ranked sailors while solo on Wrasse-Guava. I once got attacked by a red sloop on Gaea-Epsilon, but I think that was a glitch, as the sloop changed color from red to green a few seconds after the battle.

I've definitely been attacked by a red cutter while I was on a sloop with 3 bots in Emerald. I don't remember which route, however, and it only happened once.

Soloing doesn't count, it throws off the colors by quite a bit. In fact anytime you have (or could possibly have) bots on board the colors don't always show up as what they should be.

Shuranthae is correct. Colours are displayed to you whenever you have swabbies on board, but your might is calculated via your might and the swabbies' might. So boats appear harder then. I wouldn't have accurate data if I mapped it allowing data with swabbies :)

Check the first page. You may need to control + refresh (F5). I've finally updated the thing :) I haven't changed any route colours yet, because I'd like to have a better picture of the whole arch. If anyone knows a lot about pearl, opal, jet, sapphire, or coral route colours, please feel free to educate me :)

Excellent. But you missed stone on Uxmal. And Emperor still spawns sugar cane, as it has for months.

Oh, I got the impression you weren't so sure about stone? And you are correct, I forgot about cane again :) I'll change it soon.

...

I just updated this one like, 4 days ago. It's almost entirely correct, and the only known errors are already stated in this thread. IF you are still seeing the old commodities map, please go to page one, and hold down control and press F5 to force the image to refresh.

Lots and lots of crystals, but no papagoite.

Olivia has a graphic that looks like it might be papagoite, but isn't. Some other islands have that graphic as well, but it isn't papagoite. Papagoite is the big crystals like leushite, chalcocite, or thorianite, not the little crystals as appear on Olivia.

Some other graphics that are commodity spawns also appear in other colors that don't spawn anything. Just have to figure out what obstalcles spawn something, and what are just junk.

Please note that now the commodity graphics have been changed, each type of graphic on an island corrosponds with a type of graphic in your hold. So the type of graphic you see on Olivia is for serandite, sincosite, cubanite and masuyite, not for the other minerals.

I've updated the XXL-sized map with the new graphics and updated island icons to reflect the states of development. (this means both the normal and commodities version) The XL and normal maps are not updated yet.

Looks great DB. I think ye still have the old sincosite graphic on Byrne, though.

I like the addition of V, R, E, and P.

Yes, you're correct. Thankyou, I'll fix that now. (but I won't re-upload it yet)

I already had those icons done for LohnJohnGrey, as he had trouble with the forage map. I figured I would leave them on for everyone else, as they make it pretty easy to tell what's what.

The Foraging map is out of date. ;)

I'd say that just adding appropriate fruits to the arch icon will do it good, through. ;D

With the new oceans (though they are identically mapped), any chance we could see this stickied thread converted to a "Maps of Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates Oceans" or something of the sort, with maps of all the servers?

I think it's a good idea to have the maps easily accessible (as they become known), but I think one sticky for each server is overkill.

Is the red for Heps Forge--Xi really the same color as all the hard routes in Ruby? I find that next to impossible to believe. There's no way the brigands in jet swordfight like the chainsaw warriors up there do. I routinely win swordfights with a damage disadvantage in Jet, which just doesn't happen in Ruby. Or at least, it doesn't happen often.

Red means that red ships can attack you. It does not mean that these routes are the hardest possible routes in the game.

If red ships DON'T attack on that route (and you should be sailing that route quite a lot to be able to know that) then I'll downgrade it.

I am not aware of any red brigands attacking on heph-xi. Maybe I'm too quick to engage the greens... but I don't even SEE that many red brigands (excluding war brigs), let alone remember one attacking me.
