Wait... Eclipse - Lagniappe once existed?

I had it marked for a while. I don't know if it once existed or not.

My svg map should have all the names in and tweaked by the end of the month, which means I'll be adding pop up ability, and commodity info next! (while I continue to refine and adjust the overall look, of course) I mention this because it's searchable, which is nice... [size=9]you'll probably have to save that map on your computer to get it to load, thanks to IE and how it does or doesn't handle plain SVG files

I'm having waaaay to much fun doing YPP related things.

I use firefox too. Unfortunately, its native support has't quite been implemented yet. (but it will be!)

See two( ? ) pages back. Dowload the plugin (for IE) from http://www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install/main.html

Other options include many pro type of vector drawing packages (macromedia stuff, psp I think, others) as well as some open source SVG native editors (sodipodi, inkscape, and see http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/SVG-Implementations )

Whoa! A raster(regular image) to SVG converter! cool stuff... http://delineate.sourceforge.net/index.html

Scalable Vector Graphics. /me is impressed

I've never played much with SVG meself, seeing as how so few commonly-used programs support it "off-the-shelf". I prefer PNG, as it generally does lossless compression better than any other format out there, and (alpha-channel transparency aside) most programs support it nowadays.

(That, and because I'm much better at writing code than drawing stuff. MS Paint and MS Office Photo Editor are my preferred tools. ;)

Hey, hey, SVG.

Shame about the lack of my wherewithal to install the viewer.

Oh, and DB: at the easiest, SVG is vector graphics crossed with XML.

Hold on, how can you manipulate the SVG image? I can like, select the text and stuff, but otherwise it's even weirder than a normal image, because I have to zoom back out to scroll when it's zoomed in ;)

I'm now compiling lists of commodities to add to the svg map... (woohoo!)

In the adobe (plugin for ie) viewer, hold alt to scroll, and right click to zoom and search and stuff. When the map is getting more finished, I'll stick it in a web page so that it's easier to look at, and I'll also make it so it can resize itself to assorted screen widths for best viewing.

Now available: Compressed SVG for that super-fast download! And because it's fun. Not important yet, but once I get commodoties, and more in there it might get big for us modem users... Ok, maybe it's only for the fun factor.

EDIT Sweeet! Took me long enough, but I found a link that led me to the location of the plugin files, so I can get Firefox to view svg files! http://www.aisee.com/faqs/svg.htm#q6
EDIT EDIT YEARGH! So, firefox crashes with the current version of the adobe svg plugin. but I hear the beta version works just fine...

Skellies can now go to any uncolonized island, so there are no specific skellie islands anymore. :D

Talking of Remora, does it actually spawn wood? Me thinks not.

EDIT: Nor do i think it spawns cane. I spent ages there and got nothing.

First page of the thread is where things are kept fully updated.. Elemental is updated secondarily, and I've been taking too many tests for that at the moment. Damn tests.

I recently became aware of this mistake and it's fixed on my HD. Profuse apologies to Black Sails, I was confused by similar names and shared alliances.

This mistake has been fixed. I've also done some reworking and finally sorted out the proper distinctions between the triangle and the circle. An island will now stay a diamond until the fort is built.
